The University of Kansas School of Law will host environmental law scholar James Salzman for a public lecture examining the past, present and future of drinking water.

Professor Salzman will explore conflicts involving drinking water, including issues related to social justice, globalization, climate change and emerging contaminants. The presentation is part of the Big 12 Law Schools Signature Lecture Series.

Salzman is the Donald Bren Distinguished Professor of Environmental Law, with joint appointments at the UCLA School of Law and the UC Santa Barbara Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. His scholarship addresses drinking water, environmental policy design and markets for ecosystem services.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Participants may attend in person at the University of Kansas School of Law or virtually. Registration is requested, and virtual-attendance instructions will be emailed following registration.
