Join Farm Journal and its event partners for the Kansas Sustainable Ranchers Tour on Tuesday, September 29, in the Flint Hills.

The Sustainable Ranchers Tour will spotlight leading ranchers who are helping advance regenerative and sustainable practices in America’s beef industry. Participants will engage directly with ranchers and agricultural professionals, learn how conservation practices are being implemented, and connect with technical resources that can help them apply these practices within their own operations.

The tour will begin at Clover Cliff Ranch before traveling to Mushrush Ranch. Educational topics and activities will include:

• Farm Journal Intelligence Briefing on the state of the beef industry
• NRCS rainfall simulator demonstration
• Principles of regenerative grazing
• Ranch technologies that provide economic returns
• Woody-species encroachment and fragmentation of the Flint Hills
• Genetics, animal health, and animal care in sustainable beef production
• The value of grazing-management plans
• Conservation programs and barriers to conservation-practice adoption
• Beef supply-chain sustainability panel and roundtable discussions

Mushrush Ranches is a seventh-generation Flint Hills family operation specializing in Red Angus and Red Angus-influenced seedstock. Its breeding program emphasizes efficient, low-input genetics, maternal traits, calving ease, soundness, and longevity.
