Kansas Soil Health School: Dig into the Fundamentals of Soil Health

Are you planting cover crops and wondering what comes next?
Join the Kansas Soil Health Alliance for two full days of hands-on education and networking focused on building resilient, profitable farming and livestock systems. The Kansas Soil Health School is designed for producers who are beginning their soil health journey and are ready to take the next steps in their operations.
Educational topics will include:
• Introduction to soil properties
• Soil biology and nutrient cycling
• Grazing cover crops
• Hands-on grazing activities
• Soil and plant testing
• Hands-on soil health assessments
• Equipment modifications for soil health
• Livestock collars and other on-farm technology
• Farmer perspectives on soil health challenges, successes, and profitability
Registration is $100 and includes meals, snacks, a resource binder, soil health books, and additional educational materials. Lodging is not included.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Altenhofen Inn in Seneca. Call 785-336-3663 and ask for the Kansas Soil Health block.
