SUMMARY:Monarch Watch Tagging Event
DESCRIPTION:Join Monarch Watch\, the Lawrence Bird Alliance and the Baker Wetlands Discovery Center for a free public monarch-tagging event at the Baker Wetlands. \nParticipants will receive nets\, tags and instructions before heading into the wetlands to carefully capture\, tag and release monarch butterflies continuing their migration to Mexico. No previous tagging experience is required\, and participants of all ages are welcome. \nMonarchs are often roosting or clustered during the early morning before they begin foraging as temperatures rise. Participants who have their own butterfly nets are encouraged to bring them\, although nets will also be available. \nThe event will be held rain or shine.
